The traditional farms all have an Eira - a levelled outdoor surface were the harvest was gathered and processed.

By cutting meters tall brambles and ferns, and removing layers of roots and soil we uncovered the Eira in front of the outhouse ruin.

Along the west side of the Eira is a typical north-Portuguese storage building - an espigueiro.
